DALLAS VIA Pelle, specializing in luxury accessories and handcrafted leather goods, will host a Fall Accessories Preview and Fashion Show on Thursday, September 13, 2007, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., benefiting Dallas-based nonprofit agency Attitudes & Attire.
Now in its 11th year, Attitudes & Attire helps women seeking self-sufficiency by providing a comprehensive program of job training, self-esteem coaching, support services, and professional clothing. Upon completion of the Attitudes & Attire core program, clients are able to choose new business attire and accessories from the agency’s boutique to help in their search for employment.
Admission to the VIA Pelle event will be free with a donation of a new or gently-used handbag, scarf, piece of jewelry, or other accessory, to be donated to the Attitudes & Attire boutique. All those participating in the donation drive at VIA Pelle will receive a 20% discount on any merchandise purchased at the event.
“Attitudes & Attire is honored to be the beneficiary of this fun, fashion event at VIA Pelle,” said Attitudes & Attire Executive Director Lyn Berman. “We thank the community in advance for its support of our mission and the incredible women we represent who are striving to re-enter the workplace.”
The evening will feature a sneak peak of the hottest accessories for Fall and an in-store fashion show highlighting: new handbag and accessory collections from Coccinelle and Roccobarocco of Italy (VIA Pelle will be the first store in Dallas to carry the exclusive line); accessories by Trina Turk, Sondra Roberts, and Susan Faber; the VIA Pelle private label shoe collection; and Black Label Samsonite and Scully accessories for men. Luxury raffle items will include a Trina Turk clutch and an Italian leather handbag from Coccinelle.
“We are thrilled to host this event for Attitudes & Attire and urge the community to join us for the latest in fashion and accessories, all for a great cause,” said Joanne Snodgrass, owner of VIA Pelle. “Your donation of a new or gently-used accessory will help complete the professional transformation for these women striving to better their lives.”
Wine, cheese, and hors d’oeuvres will be served, and live music will be provided by a local guitarist.
