Lunar eclipse (was) visible to North Texans early Tuesday morning

Email Print Tell us your story Comments (4)

There's a total lunar eclipse that can be seen from North Texas on Tuesday just before 4 a.m. A lunar eclipse happens when the moon passes through the Earth's shadow and makes it look red and bigger than normal.

It begins at about 4 a.m., peaks at 5 a.m. and stays shrouded until about 6:30 a.m.

I happened to see it (on the way to the airport for an early flight). It was beautiful ... almost worth getting up for!
