Dallas Police Department helicopter makes emergency landing at Highland Park Middle School
HIGHLAND PARK A Dallas Police Department helicopter made an emergency landing on the soccer field of Highland Park Middle School/McCulloch Intermediate School this morning after an indicator light showed engine trouble. There were no students on the field at the time.
There was no emergency on the HPMS/MIS campus and there were no injuries resulting from the landing.
University Park police are on the scene and a maintenance vehicle is on its way.
HPISD and the staff of HPMS/MIS were glad to be able to provide a safe place for the helicopter to land.
