Denton County judge announces retirement
She's got 16 months to figure out her next move.
Denton County District Judge Vicki Isaacks today announced she would be retiring from her position when her current term expires at the end of 2008.
Referencing her family, Judge Isaacks mentioned that several options were available to her following her retirement from the bench, and stated she'd spend the next 16 months mulling them over.
Isaacks was appointed to the judgeship by George W. in 2000 when he was governor of Texas. Two Denton attorneys had announced their candidacy for Isaacks' seat prior to her stated decision to step down.
