Forbidden in Flower Mound
SOUTHLAKE Local media censorship efforts are running rampant lately. First, we get blocked by the Lancaster ISD -- now Sprouts in Flower Mound has taken D Magazine off the shelves over complaints regarding the cover story "Why You Should Hate Southlake."
Guess they failed to read the subhead: "Because the kids are smarter, stronger, and better-looking than yours. And they prove it every Friday night."
And those smart kids apparently won't grow up to manage Sprouts stores. They probably understand the concept of juxtaposition.
CBS 11: D Magazine cover controversy
Disclosure: I used to work at D and they were an early investor in Pegasus News, although they no longer have a financial stake in us.

I would imagine it was banned as a bit of a show of good faith. There are other cities around and many students, to say the least, who could be very insulted by this, possibly causing social uneasiness and certainly animosity between students in various schools. Bedsides, who wants their own kids to get a big head?
