Dallas-area man accused of posing as doctor to steal Rolex
Scheme rates somewhere between "pyramid" and "Nigerian prince."
A Mesquite man allegedly tried to scam a $30,000 Rolex off a woman in Edmond, Oklahoma, but her "gut feeling" led her to call the police. Turns out the guy, Kenneth Wayne Cox, may be tied to similar schemes in several other cities.
The lesson, as always: People you meet on the internet are not your friends. That, or never try to unload an expensive piece of jewelry to someone you just met.
