Handley Middle School student pulls out gun at school, stupid children opt not to tell school officials

10

Children, I'm speaking to you for a second here: if someone pulls a gun on you in class at school, hmmm, maybe you should TELL SOMEONE! Apparently nobody told this to any kids at Handley Middle School in Fort Worth.

A 14-year-old student pulled a gun on a 12-year-old student yesterday, indicating that the gun was for him. This was in gym class, which both students completed without telling a soul. Then, again, on the bus the same future convict pulled the gun out warning the younger kid that he should "be ready for tomorrow." And again, despite other students witnessing the event, nobody said anything to an adult until the threatened kid mentioned it to his parents later. They have since called the police and the older boy has been detained.

So, luckily the situation was eventually diffused, but seriously, what the hell is wrong with you kids?

I think more to the point- the adult that the child got the gun from is stupid.

I'm certainly not a proponent of censorship, but I am all for parents doing there best to develop some common-sense in their children. The movies, videos, and music they are exposed to speaks of using violence to solve just about everything. You have to be sure that they have some sense of right, wrong, and just plain foolish.

Maybe they're smart enough to realize that you shouldn't antagonize somebody who has access to guns?

Well, at least the boys weren't wearing skirts. Then their lives would TRULY have been in danger...

I don't think that antagonizing and letting an adult know that another child on the campus had his/her life threatened with a deadly weapon are exactly the same thing. It's that kind of "smart" that allows the aggressor to bring the gun the next day and carry out his plan.

Thank you for your sage advice, Luniz. If I ever see you being knife-raped in an alley, I'll do my best to not antagonize your attackers.

So tell us what really happened, and why the news story got it all so wrong.

What is a 14 year old doing at a middle school anyway? I suppose maybe they were held back twice for being a total moron.
