West Dallas neighborhood not so enthused about gas drilling
DALLAS One neighborhood in West Dallas is not on board with the city's plans to consider natural gas drilling near by. Homeowners on Mexicana Drive, a street of about 100 homes right next to the Trinity River levee, want to keep their street quiet. Good luck with that! The city council is contemplating changing the law to allow drilling on city property in exchange for millions of dollars in lease revenue.
The neighborhood was created in the mid '90s by United Housing Program, a nonprofit group to help buyers with government-assisted financing.

One way you can fight them is to have your County Commissioners put weight limits on the roads in your area. That way they can't bring they big trucks into your front yards.
Good luck! And if you ever want to see the damage drilling does, drive out my way.
