Plano-based EnviroGLAS makes products from recycled broken glass
PLANO Entrepreneur Tim Whaley has found a way to recycle glass from bottles, windshields, mirrors, and etcetera: He formed a company called EnviroGLAS that gets reclaimed glass and has it broken into the size he needs to form countertops and flooring. The end result is that it looks like terrazzo flooring. One couple used crushed beer bottles for their floor.

I saw something similar to this on This Old House when the show did a "green" remodel in Austin. The glass company for that show was in New York. Nice to see something local. And the look IS beautiful...
