Bridge rehabilitation to take place on I-35E in Dallas December 3-5

Repair is needed after the bridge was struck by an 18-wheeler on October 4.

— The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close the two northbound right-hand lanes of I-35E at Kirnwood Road in Dallas. The closure will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, December 3 through Wednesday, December 5.

This repair is needed after the bridge was struck by an 18-wheeler truck hauling construction equipment on October 4. They'll perform a bridge beam rehabilitation and cable splice, to add strength to the beam and ensure the structural integrity of the bridge. Traffic will be permitted in the left lane of northbound I-35E, which will remain open. This closure will take place weather permitting.

It's mentioned on this site which is kindof cool; it appears to be an up-to-the-minute summary of all the lane closures around town.
