Last time Inevitable Theatre Company performed was at the Out of the Loop Festival last March with their acclaimed production of Jordan. The company is finally back to perform Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead from December 6-22 at the Bath House Cultural Center. ITC Artistic Director Robert Neblett says, "I welcome this production as a refreshing alternative to the more classic holiday fare that audiences usually find onstage each December."

The play follows the further adventures of America's favorite blockhead, Charlie Brown, as he and his friends morph into dysfunctional teenagers, lost in a modern world that has stripped away their innocence. No longer concerned with baseball games and flying kites, Brown questions the meaning of life after his beloved beagle dies from rabies. Teen angst and wicked humor merge with surprising tenderness as we are reintroduced to familiar faces with more than a few unexpected twists: Charlie Brown's goth sister, his burnt-out best friend, a school bully with a secret past, and a potential new love.

The playwright, Bert V. Royal, will be attending the December 13th performance. As part of his visit, Mr. Royal will take part in a post-show talkback session with audience members and the cast, moderated by members of the Dallas chapter of GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network). A short reception is scheduled to follow in the Bath House lobby. And following each Saturday performance, GLSEN representatives will moderate a post-show discussion with the audience and members of the cast and company.

Dog Sees God contains adult language and situations and is intended for mature audiences. The show is directed by ITC Producing Artistic Director Robert Neblett, and the cast includes James Chandler as CB, Chelsie Ashton as CB's Sister, Drew Wall as Van, Taylor Williams as Matt, Jared Brewer as Beethoven, Stephanie Stuart as Tricia, Natalie Young as Marcy, and Lindsay Neinast as Van's Sister.
