Downtown McKinney shops offer later hours on Thursdays in December
McKINNEY, Texas (Dec. 4, 2007) - During the month of December, shops in Historic Downtown McKinney with a candle displayed in their window will stay open for extended hours.
Customers will have a chance to shop for holiday gifts until 8 p.m. each Thursday at some of the more than 100 unique boutiques, art galleries, bookstores, apparel, gift and antique shops.
"Shoppers can find the unique and special things that they won't find anywhere else in downtown McKinney, "stated Ty Lake, Main Street Program Director. "We wanted to do something fun and unique that would entice shoppers to consider downtown McKinney as their one destination to shop, dine and enjoy throughout the holiday season."
Participating stores will have flickering LED candles in their front windows to represent the new hours.
