DFW International Community Alliance announces the newest edition of their Guia Para Educacion de Nuestros Hijos. The 32 page free directory, made possible by support of Citi, is now available at most libraries in Dallas, Irving, and Plano, as well as through the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, school intake centers, the Mexican Consulate, and various Hispanic community organizations.
This directory is among the seven titles currently available in the series of Guides for New Americans. According to DFW International Community Alliance's 2005 report, 40% of North Texas residents are immigrants (foreign-born and their children). In addition to distribution through libraries and community organizations, all the titles are available as downloads from the DFW International Community Alliance website at www.dfwinternational.org/resource_center/.
Citi has been a major supporter of DFW International Community Alliance for over 4 years. Rick Calero, President of Citibank Texas says, "Everyone needs a fair shot at a good education. At Citi, we care deeply about helping all families navigate the educational system so their children can succeed."
