As part of a two-pronged initiative, GameStop has donated 200 shopping spree wishes for wish kids across the country. Also, beginning nationwide today, GameStop customers can visit their website to make their donations to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation while browsing or shopping online this holiday season. The program runs through the end of 2007, and donation amounts are available from $5 to $100.

“GameStop is honored to partner with the Make-A-Wish Foundation as it underscores how powerful a wish experience can be for a child with a life-threatening medical condition,” said Dick Fontaine, chief executive officer and chairman of GameStop Corp.

“The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted 13,000 wishes last year, and more than 1,000 of them involved computers, electronics or game systems,” said David Williams, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America president and chief executive officer. “This wonderful partnership with GameStop will bring even more joy to the courageous children we serve.”
