Looking to catch trout in Hurst?

The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department’s Inland Fisheries Office in Fort Worth has announced new "stocking dates" for trout in Chisholm Park in Hurst.

For your fishing pleasure, on November 29, December 13, December 27 of this year, some rainbow trout will be poured into Chisholm Park Lake, located at 2200 Norwood Drive. Additional dates into 2008 include January 10, January 24, February 7, February 21, and March 6.

The TPWD's Inland Fisheries Division is in the fifth year of an urban fishing program research project. Fish will be stocked throughout the winter. TPWD wil be conducting angler interviews to monitor usage rates.

A Freshwater Fishing License is Required For Anglers 17 Years Old and Older (unless born before Sept 1, 1930). Anglers are reminded that the Community Fishing Lake [CFL] daily bag limit is 5 fish/day. Take more and you're both illegal and fat.

There is no minimum length regulation on channel catfish in CFL’s.

Akira Sato Jazz trumpeter Akira Sato, by way of Tokyo, Japan and Vancouver, Canada, is an SMU faculty member and director of The Meadow Jazz Orchestra at SMU. He is also an adjunct faculty member at UNT where he teaches jazz arranging. Sato is also heading into the studio soon with other area musicians and playing at the Scat Jazz Lounge tonight.
