KLUV DJ Jody Dean’s truck stolen from NorthPark lot in Dallas

6

— Boy, of all the pickup trucks to steal, someone stole the pickup truck belonging to KLUV DJ Jody Dean, according to FrontBurner. NorthPark can't be too thrilled about this. Maybe they'll buy him a new one before then so he won't mention it on the air Monday morning. I guess car thieves haven't gotten the memo that it's the Most Beautiful Time of the year.

Jody Dean seems like a great guy who doesn't deserve something like this. Still, Jody, I must say that maybe they wouldn't have stolen it if you had put one of those bumper stickers on it that say, "No, You Can't Borrow My Truck!" Sorry, couldn't resist!!

Mike Orren says:

Heard on the radio this AM:

  • Truck was recovered by 2 PM on Saturday

  • Still in impound and he can't get it until the adjusters come through.

  • Most concerned about the old family bible in the glove box.

Thanks for the update, big guy. I sincerely hope he gets his heirloom Bible back. Most of the time, old family Bibles are passed down from generation thru generation and often have family history and mementos inside.

Rawlins Gilliland says:

Yes, 'Family Bibles' are precious items. In the spirit of the season, Dean reminds us that the appropriate way one best protects & honors theirs is by stuffing it into the glove box of their pickup. Feliz Navidad.

Brad LaRock says:

Does anyone know why Jody Dean is currently serving a one weeks suspension from 98.7 KLUV? Can't find anything anywhere.

Alex Bentley says:

Brad, just talked to Peter Z, the program director at KLUV, and he declined to comment, citing federal privacy laws.
