Needless Necessities, a distinctive home furniture and accessories boutique located in the Knox-Henderson district, is teaming up with Paws in the City this holiday season, inviting shoppers and their pups to come out and take pictures with Santa on Saturday, December 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Photos will be available for a donation to Paws in the City, and there will also be plenty of adorable pups from the Paws foster program and Dallas Animal Services available for adoption. In addition, new pet owners will be given gift bags with a variety of treats and goodies from Needless Necessities, Lucca Bella Doggie Spa & Boutique and The Petropolitan Downtown Dallas Doggie Spa.
Since starting the adoption events in June at Needless Necessities, Paws in the City has placed 146 homeless pets in new homes, including 79 from the City shelter. Paws in the City has become one of the major sources of offsite adoptions for Dallas Animal Services.
Needless Necessities carries an extensive line of private label sofas and chairs that can be custom designed to create "that perfect look." To complete any room, the store carries a selection of home accessories such as accent tables, consoles, chests, wall decor, lighting and tabletop items. Small tasteful gifts such as candles, decorative soaps, fragrances and the largest selection of Vera Bradley in DFW are also available. The store is located at 2926 N. Henderson Avenue and open Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Sundays 12 - 5 p.m. For more information, call (214) 824-0700 or visit www.needlessnecessities.com.
Paws In The City® is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization committed to ending overpopulation, abuse and neglect of Dallas dogs and cats, and is an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff. Paws in the City has rescued, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed hundreds of dogs and cats in loving homes and maintains 22 feral cat colonies in the heart of the city's downtown projects and surrounding area.
