Maxwell could teach a thing or two about party leadership
Mr. Maxwell, 57, a life-long Texan, wants to bring supporters from all elements of the Party together to take advantage of the opportunities that Tarrant County Democrats have in 2008 and beyond.
"Tarrant County Democrats have a unique opportunity to work together, leverage off our recent successes, and continue to build a strong and vibrant Party for our future," said Maxwell. "I'm thrilled to be part of the team, but right now I'm committed to getting Dan Barrett elected as our next State Representative in District 97."
Maxwell is originally from Midland, Texas, and received his undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio. He attended law school at the University of Texas in Austin. He has practiced law for thirty-two years, and is Board Certified in personal injury trial law. In 2000, he served as President of the Tarrant County Bar Association, and from 2001 to 2004 served as an elected Director of the State Bar of Texas. He has also served as President of the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association, and as President of the Fort Worth Jaycees. He and his wife, Ivy, have three children.
