Irving-based EFJ, Inc. snags $11.7 million contract with anonymous defense contractor

IRVING EFJ, Inc. announced today that its EFJohnson subsidiary has been selected by a major systems integrator to provide its Trunked IP25(TM) Infrastructure System along with Project 25 compliant radios. The order is for a Department of Defense customer in support on the war on terrorism and is valued at $11.7 million.
"This is a next step in our transition to a provider of secure wireless systems solutions," said Michael E. Jalbert, chairman and chief executive officer of EFJ, Inc. "The objective of this project is to provide extensive trunked radio voice communications capability in support of daily operations."
The company expects to begin shipping the order in the 4th quarter, Jalbert added.
