Texas Wesleyan volleyball’s Meng named All-American
Texas Wesleyan University volleyball senior Liz Meng received NAIA All-American Honorable Mention Honors for the second consecutive year.
The 6-0 senior from Weatherford, TX, finished her final season as a 1st team All-Conference and NAIA Region VI selection as well. Meng helped lead the Lady Rams to the Region VI championship game, where they fell to UT-Brownsville.
Meng finished the season with 582 kills, she had a season high 26 kills against Wayland Baptist. Meng led the team in blocks with 161 (47 solo blocks 114 block assists). She also added 521 digs and averaged 3 digs a game.
In Meng’s tenure at Wesleyan she recorded 1084 kills, 298 total blocks, and 642 digs.
The Lady Rams finished the season 32-16 overall and 10-0 in RRAC play. They reached the RRAC final for the fifth time in six years and also advanced to the Region VI championship game.
