Art exhibits around Dallas present Christmas themed shows
While there are few to none openings and receptions this weekend, a lot of galleries have Christmas themed shows that are festive and fun for art enthusiasts of all ages.
- If you're looking for artsy stuff to take the kiddos to, the Irving Arts Center has a show featuring original artwork from Cajun inspired Christmas and Mardi Gras children's books. They are also showing their 15th Annual Tree Decorating Contest.
- Valley House Gallery's exhibit "Holidays are a Time for Giving" doubles as a benefit show, with a percentage of the proceeds to benefit EASL.
- Kettle Art is having their Annual Holiday Show on Saturday, in addition to their Holiday Presence III Open Group Show.
- Sun to Moon is displaying over 70 photographic prints at their 6th Anniversary Celebration and Holiday Open House.
- Photographs Do Not Bend's Christmas show, "Naughty or Nice," has selected some stellar images to ponder the phrase, "Naughty or Nice" from the Christmas carol, Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
- The Native Arts Center has native Christmas decorations on display.
- Also for the kiddies, the train exhibit is back at Northpark Mall.
- Kittrell/Riffkind is in the middle of their Ornament Extravaganza, featuring ornaments from glass artists around the nation.
