Mansfield teenager dies in car accident

MANSFIELD — Lasharon Powell, a junior at Legacy High School in Mansfield, was killed Wednesday when the car she was riding in crashed into a tree in front of Worley Middle School. Police suspect that speed was a factor in the wreck, which occurred as five girls were going back to school from their lunch break.
