Dallas City Council approves installation of lights on Spur 408
DALLAS The Dallas City Council approved the installation of freeway lighting on Spur 408, from Loop 12 to I-20 in the Mountain Creek area. According to the DMN, it's one of the last sections of freeway in Dallas without overhead lights. Traffic on it has increased, and so has the number of accidents; a guy just died in early December. TxDOT will spend $2.5 million to install them; Dallas will cover maintenance and electricity.
