Move to Melissa” campaign countered by resident group’s website

Mayor David Dorman says that the website movetomelissa.com was set up to get the word out about where Melissa actually is in the grand scheme of North Texas communities.

Man, those are some really big houses.

Man, those are some really big houses.

However - according to resident Jim Fusco (in an opinion apparently shared by some of his neighbors), that website has an ulterior (and blatantly stated) motive: to attract new residents without regard to planning or growth management. So he's set up his own website dubbed Citizens Against Rapid Development, whose banner features a well-fed looking cardinal sitting on a tree branch overlooking some really gigantic houses, one of which appears to have a guest house behind it that I wouldn't mind renting out as a bed-and-breakfast, particularly if the bird watching holds up and the mayor's scheme for unbridled development doesn't remove all chances of mountain lions making their way into the neighborhood.
