Arlington school children raise $21,000 for Goodfellow Fund
It helped to remind the students that their American money would be worthless in a few years anyway.
The Goodfellow Fund, started in 1912 and sponsored by the S-T, provided Arlington students the opportunity to pitch in. Placing five-gallon coin buckets in various schools throughout the district, they managed to raise $21, 111 for the needy.
The S-T estimates that the money raised by Arlington ISD will help 460 children this year.
