Collin College plans cabaret scholarship fundraiser
On Saturday, Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m., the Embassy Suites Frisco Hotel and Conference Center will host a fundraiser benefiting student scholarships to Collin County Community Colleges.
Not much information about the event itself is presently available (because our Collin College contact is away for the holidays), but according to the press release the event - dubbed "Collin Cabaret" - will be "an off-Broadway evening affair." (Just how far off Broadway from an artistic standpoint remains to be seen, but according to my rough calculations it's about 1500 miles off Broadway as the crow flies - assuming the crow follows the Google Maps suggested route.)
Sponsorship levels run the high-dollar gamut from $50,000 (at the Cabaret Presenting level) to $2,500 (for a Let the Show Begin partnership).
For more information (or to pony up for a sponsorship), call Mary Frazier of the Collin College Foundation at 972-599-3145... but you'll have to wait until Jan. 2, when she returns to her office.
