Dallas Morning News issues list of top-10 restaurants of 2007
The DMN released its best restaurants of 2007 this week. Tread carefully as it includes references to David and Goliath as well as phrases such as "much-ballyhooed mega-venture".
The following places make the list: Alo, Bukhara Grille, Dallas Fish Market, Fearing's, Olenjack's Grille in Arlington, Olivella's, The Porch, Sangria Tapas y Bar, Trader Vic's, and DonnaCooks discovery Yao Fuzi.
The print version doesn't come out until Friday December 28, but the on-line list/slide-show is done in alphabetical order. At least, it appears to be alphabetical; or maybe the critics at the DMN prefer restaurants that begin with A over restaurants that begin with Y. In any case, the pleasure that people seem to derive from these kinds of lists in general is in disagreeing with the choices. As in, "Olenjack's, are you kidding me???" And, "What, no SushiSamba???" You know, that kind of thing.
