TxDOT to conduct emergency bridge repair on US 80 at SH 352 in Dallas County on Friday night
They're repairing the US 80 bridge which was struck by a vehicle on November 11.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close all north and southbound SH 352 (Collins Road) mainlanes at US 80 in Dallas County all weekend.
The lanes will be closed 7 p.m., Friday, December 28, and reopen on 6 a.m., Monday, December 31. One westbound lane of US 80 will also be closed during that time period.
The closure is necessary to perform an emergency bridge repair on the US 80 bridge after it was struck by a vehicle on November 11. Weight restrictions and wide load restrictions are in place on westbound US 80 due to the closure.
Law enforcement will be present to help with traffic control. Message boards announcing the roadway closure have been placed in both directions along SH 352 and US 80 to notify the public of the scheduled closures. This work will take place, weather permitting.
