Dallas gifted student attends ideas forum in Aspen, Colorado
Oak Cliff resident Donivon Fletcher was one of 12 students from across the U.S. who was selected as a Bezos Aspen Scholar and attended the 2007 Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen, Colo. Fletcher, a senior at gifted and talented high school Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center in Dallas, got to shake hands with Colin Powell, Queen Noor of Jordan, and Phylicia Rashad; he was accompanied by his English teacher, Alfonso Correa.
