McKinney High safety forced to switch commitment
Last Thursday, McKinney High safety, Eddie Morgan, received a disturbing email. The new Stanford coaching staff informed Morgan he had been re-evaluated athletically, along with his SAT scores, and the result was Morgan wouldn't be a Cardinal.
Scary business when National Signing Day is right around the corner on Feb. 7. Morgan chose Stanford over TCU, Duke and Air Force. Fortunately, it looks like Morgan's signing woes are over. Morgan verbally committed to Duke, and is planning an official visit on Saturday.

Gary Cohen, says:
Nice of Stanford to do this via email. Poor form in general. I would expect Stanford to receive a cold reception if their staff does any recruiting from McKinney in the future.
I presume Morgan's SAT score would have been acceptable had the new Stanford coaching staff thought more highly of his athletic ability.
