SMU signs 23 football recruits
Coming off a bowl-eligible season and the most wins in a decade, the SMU Mustangs have signed 23 student-athletes to letters of intent.
Of the 23 signees, three have already enrolled at SMU and 21 hail from the Lone Star state.
"I have always stressed recruiting Texas and a 300-mile radius around Dallas," said head coach Phil Bennett. "We have managed to do that year after year. My coaching staff and I have thoroughly evaluated these players and I'm very excited to have them join our program. We also have good relationships with the high school coaches in Texas and in the region and that has helped again this year. This group of players will play a big part in our building a top-25 program and winning championships at SMU."
