Denton Ryan linebacker taking football skills to Eastern New Mexico University
Last season, Nathan Uland exuded defensive dominance, earning himself the title of 4A Defensive Player of the Year. He grabbed the title above nationally-ranked, Oklahoma State-bound, Richetti Jones. Uland finished the season with 122 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries.
Pretty impressive for a player who doesn't dominate with his size. Uland (5-10, 210lb) was one of the smallest defensive players to be named to 4A All-State Football Team.
Uland is one of 20 recruits, who all hail from Texas, for the Greyhounds. He'll be joined by his Ryan defensive teammate, fellow inside linebacker, Tony Adams.
