Primary school temporarily shut down for domestic dispute
In what is surely just a coincidence, officials at a school on the outer fringes of fermenting Farmers Branch had to lock it down Friday morning after the report of a domestic dispute.
Angela Shelley, a spokeswoman for the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District, told the DMN that the scuffle occurred when a child was being dropped off at Sheffield Primary School in the 18000 block of Kelly Boulevard.
For about an hour, no one was allowed to enter or leave the building. By about 8:50 a.m., the school had pretty much returned to normal, though all exterior doors remained locked and a security guard was placed near an entrance.
There had been initial reports of a man with a gun, but Ms. Shelley said there was no weapon involved.
