Corgan design firm opens headquarters in Dallas West End
Corgan’s HQ is the first new project in the historic area in more than 10 years.
DALLAS Corgan Associates, Inc., the ninth largest U.S.-based architectural and interior design firm, opened the doors to its new corporate headquarters in Dallas’s West End at the intersection of Ross and Houston Streets, the first new construction project in this historic district in more than 10 years.
Located at 401 N. Houston St., Corgan will be the sole occupant of the three-story, 58,000-square-foot building.
Standing 45 feet tall, Corgan’s new building is encased by a modern yet industrial exterior comprised of glass, copper and dark “iron-spot” brick. Large window walls span the building’s north and south sides, maximizing daylighting potential in the studio areas and offering sweeping vistas of the Dallas skyline and the Trinity River project.
Since its founding in 1938, Corgan has had offices in downtown in all but five of its 69 years. The firm employs over 280 professionals in its offices in Dallas, New York, Miami, Sacramento and Phoenix.

The Jetson Green blog, which discusses all sorts of "green" building topics, has a photo of the new building,

By the way, the Corgan's headquarters was built by Turner Construction Co. Turner has built many of the other top green projects in North Texas, including the SMU Embrey Building, Pat Lobb Toyota (the first green auto dealership in the country) and the prototype Wal-Mart in McKinney.
