Fire shuts down Grapevine High, but not for nearly long enough
All those pointless 5th-period fire drills finally pay off.
GRAPEVINE An electrical fire at Grapevine High School forced students to temporarily evacuate the building this morning. And hoo-ray for that, the students said.
Grapevine-Colleyville school district spokeswoman Robin McClure told WFAA that the fire started about 9:30 a.m. at the campus in the 3200 block of Mustang Drive; it broke out on an air conditioner on the roof.
Students were evacuated as a safety precaution, and were forced to return to the building after the fire was extinguished. Nobody's hair caught on fire or anything even remotely cool.
