Change is good and such is (and hopefully will continue to be) the case for Bridges to Gemini. After the strange and rather hilarious demise of Face of Mercy (if you don't know what I'm talking about read here), guitarist Lance Shults and bassist Chris Lahvic were without a band. Now with Justin Wendorf, Elise Milacek, and Brian Wisconsin, Bridges to Gemini is in the process of writing and recording music and cultivating their sound. With an acoustic show at the Door coming February 23, this new band has hit the ground running.
Lance, Justin, and Elise stopped by the Pegasus News office/studio to introduce us to Bridges to Gemini and play two never-before-heard songs. Seriously, never before, they wrote them in our office. Ok, that's a lie. Anyway, here are some of the topics covered in the interview:
- How Bridges to Gemini came to be
- Explaining the type(s) of music they write and play
- Why they believe that music should be written not just for the artist but for the listener as well
- DFW music and local venues like The Door
- Making Elise talk (she's a little shy)
- Some Face of Mercy stuff
- What to look forward to from Bridges to Gemini
After the interview we got some footage of the band previewing acoustic versions of two of their new songs, "Me, Myself, Goodbye" and "Myself."

The following are a few shots from Bridges to Gemini's acoustic concert at the Door (Dallas) sent in by guitarist Lance Shults:
