McKinney hayride sets Guinness world record
Toyota publicity stunt tows 217 people on six trailers.
MCKINNEY A new record for the world’s largest hayride was set yesterday as part of a publicity stunt at a Toyota dealership in McKinney.
Some 217 children and adults, sitting atop six daisy-chained flatbed trailers covered in hay, were towed by a 2007 Toyota Tundra. The record-breaking hayride was part of the five-day Pat Lobb Toyota Tailgate Party, which is introducing the Texas-built truck to potential buyers.
Guinness Book of World Records approved the hayride mission and will certify its success after reviewing materials documenting the event.
