Former Plano East basketball guard tearing it up at Liberty University
Man, they are eating up Anthony Smith in Virginia. From the Liberty University hoops site:
The Plano, Texas, native boasts Liberty’s most exciting athleticism, captivates the Vines Center faithful and silences opponents’ crowds on the road with his energetic and vigorous dunks.
Earlier this year he had a great game against the defending national champion Gators - scored 18 and dunked it twice.
Smith, a sophomore, became the 45th player in Liberty history to score 500 career points. At Plano East, he was the third leading scorer in school history. But it's still a mighty gap between high school and Division I basketball. "The transition has been a hard one from high school," Smith says. "All the players are scholarship players with extreme talent and I am trying to continue to learn and get better."
