Mesquite teen arrested for prank MySpace page
MESQUITE A Poteet High School student was arrested for creating a fake MySpace page for one of his teachers.
The 15-year-old little darling, who wasn't identified because he is a juvenile, faces a state jail felony charge of fraudulent use of identifying information.
The page included the teacher's name and photos, with derogatory comments written as if by the teacher, Mesquite police spokesman Lt. Steve Callarman told the DMN. He said it was obvious the site was intended to harm the teacher's reputation or upset her.
The student bragged to other students about it and viewed it as a joke. MySpace removed the page after being notified by police that it was fraudulent.
Maybe he should have done a fake mayoral candidate MySpace page instead?
