Grapevine High student arrested for calling principal “Satan,” among other things

A 15-year-old Grapevine High School student was detained by police after 1. threatening to kill officers, 2. spitting in the principal's face, and 3. calling him Satan, police told the FWST.

The student, described as being 6 feet tall and weighing 300 pounds, was "visibly upset," according to Grapevine police Sgt. Bob Murphy. When he disrupted a class, he was escorted into the hallway where he 1. ripped out a fire extinguisher, 2. grabbed a pair of scissors, and 3. used the scissors to carve on a desk.

When school officials called his mother to come pick him up, the student 1. became more angry, 2. told the officer, "I wish I had my knife to kill you," and 3. called the principal "Satan."

The incident happened about 9 a.m. Wednesday at Grapevine High School, 3223 Mustang Drive. The student was taken to Grapevine Jail before being transferred to the Lynn W. Ross Juvenile Detention Center in Fort Worth. He'll be charged with delinquent conduct/assault by contact and resisting arrest, as well as delinquent conduct/disruption of a class.
