All the skies are brown in Dallas-Fort Worth

In Dallas-Fort Worth, the sun's out, temperatures are warm, and the sky is a muted, dusty tan.
The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for Saturday, with winds blowing in from the west from 35 to 50 mph. They also said there'd be lots of dust, according to the FWST, blowing in from the Panhandle and moving across North Texas during the afternoon.
Choke, choke, they were right. If you go outside, you'll not only see it, you'll feel it in your eyes and throat.
"We've been noticing that the whole sky is yellow-ish orange," said Carmen Menza, an artist from Plano. "We thought it might be dust in the air, but I've never seen anything like it."
"I went out an hour and a half ago, and it was perfectly clear, it was gorgeous," said Mal Lee, who lives in the mid-cities. "Now I look out my windows and it’s nothing but brown. You can’t see the sky, you can’t see the sun. It's like the planet Tattooine in Star Wars."

I think I just saw some Jawas in Carrollton.

Yeah. They had to cross the road because they're banned in Farmers Branch! {rimshot}

Forget the Jawas. If the sky starts to glow and I see Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning running down the street, I am out of here! But then I would run if I saw Tom Cruise anyway...

According to some of my coworkers, who went out at lunch today, there are trees and bushes blown over, a couple littering streets. Good day to have to work!

Don't worry... It's just a quarter inch of Lubbock moving to this area.

DFW airport is basically closed. 40,000 without power. And a big tree on the street next to me fell over some power lines.
And my dog doesn't like walking when the sky is brown. Film at 11.

Yeah, today was pretty crazy. I've lived in FW most of my life and I hadn't seen anything quite like it. Brown, brown, all around. Hey, where'd ya'll get that photo of my cousin?
