TXU to cancel plans to build 8 coal plants to help pave way for $44 billion buyout
TXU will go ahead with plans to build three coal-fired generators in Texas. Reports Bloomberg: "The company will also support mandatory U.S. limits on power plant pollution that contributes to global warming and devote $400 million to cutting power demand in Texas."
