Flower Mound’s 2006 top stories
In addition to the drought and brush fires of 2006, the ongoing battle between Flower Mound and the Upper Trinity Regional Water District made water one of Flower Mound's hottest issues for 2006. Other top stories throughout last year: Harlan Jefferson was named the new town manager, FM 3040 opened, and many changes were made, and will continue to be made, to the town's Master Plan. Lewisville ISD also had many improvements over 2006, the biggest being a bond refinancing that saved taxpayers over $5 million.
