Cedar Hill Longhorns will celebrate football title with a party and parade
Because Cedar Hill is king of the Class 5A Division II Texas Football World, the school booster club will host a Longhorn football celebration party on January 6 from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Cedar Hill Recreation Center. The cost is $5 per person (must have a Cedar Hill ISD ID to get in.) Tickets can be purchased at the school's athletic office or call (469) 337-2053 or (214) 564-5842. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold so get them early. No ticket sales at the door.
If you can't make it to that, there will be a parade January 11 at 4:15 p.m. The parade will start at the high school, travel downtown Cedar Hill and end at Longhorn Stadium where there will be a rally. After the rally, a highlight video will be shown in the Performing Arts Center.
Official 2006 state champ t-shirts will be on sale at the pep rally and at the Performing Arts Center. Shirts are $10 ($12 for XXL). You may also purchase a highlight DVD for $15. Items will be available in the school's athletic office.
