The construction site as of now. A few minutes ago, a van of some sort was parked in the corner of the screen. It drove away while I wasn't looking, but it could return at any second! Check it out, check it out.

The latest addition to the DFW construction webcam craze is the live feed situated at 9015 Grand Avenue in North Richland Hills.

Eventually, a two-story and 49,000 square feet library will be built on this plot of mud, and it will open sometime in early 2008.

Earlier, there was a van of some sort that was parked in the corner of the screen. It drove away while I wasn't looking, and who knows when it will be back! The possibilities are endless.

UPDATE: A library admin posted the following information earlier this week:

"Work on the foundation for the new library is moving ahead. Since construction began, contractors have moved about 9,000 cubic yards of earth from the site on Grand Avenue to make room for the building. Then came the rains. Lots of rain in December and even more rain in January slowed progress, but contractors have now finished drilling and pouring the last of the 122 bell-bottom piers to support the foundation.

As of this writing, they are beginning to construct the grade beams around the perimeter of the foundation. Steel for the foundation is starting to arrive. Before the month is out you should be able to see the foundation in place."
