Cedar Hill HS celebrates football team with parade and pep rally
High school classes will dismiss at 3 p.m. on Thursday, and the monthly school board meeting has been rescheduled for January 22. The parade honoring the 2006 5-A state champions will be Thursday at 4:15 p.m. Below is the parade route:
- High school parking lot - staging area (participants need to report at 3:15)
- Travel west on Cooper to Broad
- Travel north on Broad to Beltline
- Travel east on Beltline to Church
- Travel south on Church to Wilson
- Travel east on Wilson to Hardy
- Travel south on Hardy to Cooper
- End at Longhorn Stadium
A pep rally will begin at 6 p.m. at Longhorn Stadium. The team will receive the following awards:
- MaxPrep National Ranking trophy
- Channel 5 Chevrolet Team of the Year
- Proclamation from Mayor Rob Franke
- Resolution from Commissioner Ken Mayfield
- Dallas Cowboy Coach of the Year
After the pep rally, a portion of the Longhorn season highlight DVD will be shown in the Performing Arts Center. The DVD may be purchased at the rally and at the Performing Arts Center.
Official 2006 state champ t-shirts will be on sale at the pep rally and at the Performing Arts Center. Shirts are $10 ( $12 for 2XL/3XL). You may also purchase a highlight DVD for $15. Items will be available in the athletic office as well. Shirt design:
