Plano man tries to find lost Ark of the Covenant
Last year, Arch Bonnema made world headlines when he and a team found petrified wood in Iran, which they think might be from Noah's Ark.
Arch Bonnema, his wife, son, daughter-in-law and a family friend are leaving this weekend for Ethiopia to start looking for the lost Ark of the Covenant with a total group of 15 explorers.
In the summer of 2006, Bonnema was part of a group that made international headlines when they found pieces of petrified wood in Iran. Bonnema says he thinks the wood belonged to Noah's Ark, but that hasn't been proven yet.
Bonnema is also a movie buff. He is the one, you may recall, who bought $42,000 in movie tickets for The Passion of the Christ in 2004. It was after seeing that movie that Bonnema and his son decided to make a movie of their own, The Genius Club.

Pavel Lishin, says:
Boy, I sure wish my dad would finance a movie so I could be cast as a genius with a 214 IQ.

James Scott, says:
Ironic someone that thinks they are looking for the Lost Ark would fund a movie called 'The Genius Club', huh?

Britishman, says:
It's actually a pretty good movie. I saw at Cinemark Theaters when it first came out and was impressed with the story, especially the ending.
In regards to whether they did find the Ark, who knows? But, they do have great taste in producing movies at least from this worthy first effort.
