American Airlines makes partial break with Expedia.com
FORT WORTH The world's largest airline, American Airlines, has stopped selling domestic first class tickets on expedia.com "effective immediately."
Fort Worth-based American (NYSE: AMR) said it will no longer sell international tickets or domestic first or business class tickets through expedia.com or any other Web site powered by it to customers purchasing travel from the United States.
Domestic coach tickets on American will still be available through expedia. In their official press release, no reason was given for the abrupt change.
Tickets already purchased remain valid for travel on American, the company specified.
