Barry Wilson, owner of Wilson Auto Repair as well as being Fox 4 and 105.3 FM's car expert, is now basing his car repair business on restoring and repairing antique automobiles.
Wilson has been in the car repair business since 1984. He decided to specialize his work because of a his growing interest and passion for restoring vintage cars.
"There's a lot of excitement and fun in restoring cars from the 60's," Wilson said. "It's also fun to share the experience with my customers and watch their cars go from the beginning stages into the final product."

"It can take up to a year to restore a car, and the cost ranges from $50,000 to $200,000 depending on what the customer wants done," Wilson said.
Along with restoring, Wilson and his crew also repair vintage cars and install accessories and performance parts on newer model cars.
Customers who bring in their cars for restoration are asked to come back weekly to check on their car's progress.
"We pay special attention to detail on all the cars we work on," Wilson said. "We make sure everything fits correctly, is installed into the car correctly, and then once everything is completed, we check again to make sure we fixed it right before giving it back to the customer. That is what sets our garage apart from others."
Wilson is currently selling a 1969 Corvette that he restored as well a 1965 Oldsmobile Jet Star with the original interior and a 1975 Oldsmobile cutlass with only 29,000 miles.
"I started restoring cars in the mid '90's and have discovered that it never gets old to me," Wilson said. "I enjoy the challenge of retoring each car and I look forward to the finished product."

Laurie Anderson Laurie Anderson is indescribably delicious. She's hitting McFarlin tonight with her new show, Homeland, and you can bet it will contain intellectual stimulation and pure unadulterated weirdness in equal measure. An album will follow the Homeland tour in 2009. More info
