Two Dallas swimmers pick up medals for U.S. junior team
Congrats to a pair of Dallas Mustangs swimmers, who won medals at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Hawaii this past weekend. Matt Thompson brought home a silver medal in the 200 back and a bronze in the 100 back. In the 200 back, Thompson and teammate Cory Chitwood (who won the gold) beat the field by more two seconds. Both finished under the meet record (2:00.67 and 2:00.81). Thompson also finished fifth in the 200 and 400 IM events.
Spindrift Beck won the silver in the 200 IM. She also finished 10th in the 100 breast and 12th in the 200 breast, both in the USA B team finals.
Both swimmers were profiled in the DMN before the Hawaii meet.
